How Do You Get into the Residential Program

The number one question people ask us is how to get someone into the residential program or to get them involved with the other services Teen Challenge offers. Teen Challenge has residential homes for men, women and families. We have 40 beds for male students and 18 for women and a number of famliy slots. Teen Challenge Long Island works directly with Teen Challenge Center's worldwide which expands our ability to help those in need.

We will set up a personal interview to meet, offer help, and evalutate the nature of the need.This interview serves two basic purposes. It allows the induction personnel to explain the program to the prospective individuall and what is expected of a resident in the program. Candidates will also be required to get a physical and blood work done. (If you do not have a Dr. or the means to pay for a physical let us know and we can refer you to a free clinic in the local area).  

There is a small induction fee of $500.00 and we ask all families/friends and churches to make a combined pledge of $200.00 a month support to the ministry while the student is a resident. (although means to pay has no baring on a persons need for help or our willingness to help them) The fees help offset the cost of providing for each student.
