2nd Annual Golfer's Challenge
On July 21, 2003,
enthusiastic golfers from across the greater metropolitan Boston area came together for a delightful day
of food, fellowship and golf at Teen Challenge Boston’s Second Annual Golfer’s Challenge. These
avid golfers joined our Teen Challenge New England’s Executive Director Rodney Hart and our Program
Director Josh Fulton (who is certainly more fun than your
average PGA Pro) at the Franklin Park Golf Course in Mattapan.
Following the activities a delightful meal was served, followed by a touching keynote by speaker Uri Berrenger,
the youngest professional baseball announcer in Major league baseball history. It was the perfect end for
a day of fun in the sun and inspirational camaraderie.
The shotgun Start for this 4-man scramble, captains choice best ball competition launched a great day of
good-natured competition. Golfers passionately competed for the hole-in-one price, a 2003 Toyota Camry,
and the grand prize. Everyone made a difference in their own special way, as together their efforts raised
thousands of dollars to support the work of Long Island Teen Challengeto “Take a Swing” at drug
addiction.
Please consider joining us as part of the planning committee or corporate sponsor for next year’s
tournament. Be sure to sign up early for next years exciting competition as we plan our Third Annual Golfer’s
Challenge.
